Meet John:

Techie Geek. Veteran. Family Man. Student Therapist.

If you’re visiting my website, you might be feeling overwhelmed by the challenges of daily life and you’re looking for some help.

I get it. I’ve been there.

As a Healthcare IT Professional, US Navy Veteran, Family Man, and Student Marriage and Family Therapist intern at Redefine (where I practice today), I understand firsthand that finding a healthy rhythm between surviving and thriving is much easier said than done.

That's why I’m committed to providing Men, Veterans, Married Couples, and Families with a safe and supportive space to explore your challenges and equip you with the tools to navigate life’s most pressing issues.

A Little About Me...

If there’s water, I’m fishing! I enjoy fly fishing, and here in Texas, I go for the bass. I’m still on the hunt for that 10-pound trophy!

What techie doesn’t enjoy a good game? Whether it’s going old school with The Legend of Zelda on Gameboy or rolling a number 7 in Catan, I’m always up for a game night with the family.

Any Lord of the Ring fans out there? Favorite quote from Gandalf “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.” Gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.

My family is blended! I’m happily married with 4 kids, 2 beautiful daughters-in-law, a grandson, and another grandbaby on the way!

I’ve had my share of adventures, too, including time stationed at Pearl Harbor during my service in the U.S. Navy. After the military, I earned my MBA and am currently working in the healthcare IT space. I’m working on my Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University (Supervised by Diana Bigham LMFT-S), where I’m building the skills needed to help people just like you create lasting change through Marriage and Family Therapy.
